Job DetailsJob Location Newton Corp Office - Newton, KS Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Description Under the supervision of the Vice President of Treatment Services, the MAT Coordinator shall provide MAT treatment coordination, including scheduling appointments, providing MAT education to clients and staff, and being the point of contact for all Mirror MAT service.
The MAT Coordinator will be an integral member of a care team that includes the medical director, nursing staff, and addictions counselors.
They shall also act in accordance with the policies determined by the Board of Directors and shall abide by all applicable federal, state and local regulations.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Provide information, education, and resources for clients, referral sources, and stakeholders regarding Medications for Addiction Treatment Schedule initial and follow up visits on behalf of Mirror clients with Mirror contracted MAT prescribers.
Ensure that MAT related documents, releases, and files are included in client charts in our EHR for any Mirror clients receiving MAT services.
Monitor SUD treatment attendance and program compliance of clients receiving MAT services.
Communicate with MAT prescribers, counselors, nurses, and treatment directors when client compliance with the MAT program is in question.
Work with the billing department to ensure that MAT services are being billed appropriately.
Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
Work proactively with counseling staff and nursing staff to ensure that clients are receiving excellent MAT care.
Ensure the smooth transition of MAT services along with clients as they move along the continuum of care.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to navigate EHR Although not mandatory persons that are bilingual (English & Spanish) will be given strong consideration.
Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Capable of maintaining a team spirit and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
Must be adaptable to change and have effective organizational skills.
Must be able to organize and follow through on multiple tasks.
Display consistent, good judgment and decision-making skills.
Ability to establish and maintain rapport with target population.
Must be able to pass background/security check.
Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder or behavioral addiction/compulsion must have sustained a minimum of two consecutive years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances and symptoms of their chemical and/or behavioral addiction; and must be in full sustained remission.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word.
Outlook and with a basic understanding of Excel preferred.
Position may also involve bending, walking stairs, and lifting up to-40 pounds on occasion.
