Do you have hospital Medicare billing experience? Would you like to work in a fast-paced business office where teamwork is vital and self-motivation is a must? NMC Health is looking for a knowledgeable Medicare Biller - Hospital (on campus) team player to join our Hospital Billing Staff.
The right candidate will have Medicare and Medicare Advantage billing experience, knowledge of healthcare business office procedures and revenue cycle functionality.
Some duties of the Medicare Biller include preparing, reviewing and electronically transmitting claims in a timely manner using electronic billing software (Meditech and SSI); navigating the Direct Data Entry (DDE) system of Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) in order to resolve Medicare accounts through editing, suspense and RTP status.
Reconcile RTP and correct errors/rejections.
Must stay up-to-date on CMS billing guidelines, rules and regulations; will work with other hospital departments to ensure timely resolutions and payments of claims; as well as dispute verbally over the phone where warranted to get denials overturned and paid.
This is an on-campus position (not remote).
No weekends, no holidays, and no on call.
As of 1/21/22, NMC Health requires all employees to be vaccinated unless a medical or religious exemption is needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
